Auto Liability & Physical Damage Coverage
- As a private ambulance company, transporting patients is your daily job function. Make sure your ambulances are covered with the tailored insurance you need. Ambulance insurance coverage consists of liability and physical damage coverages. Automobile liability coverage protects your organization when a person is injured or a person's property is damaged as a result of an occurrence that's automobile-related. You can choose the agreed value for each vehicle when your ambulances are protected for physical damage coverage on an agreed value basis.
General Liability Insurance

Eligibility and Underwriting Requirements:

Must meet the definition of a commercial ambulance provider. A commercial ambulance provider means a for-profit legal entity engaged in the business of transporting individuals who are sick, injured, wounded, or otherwise physically incapacitated by special transportation means by falling into the following categories. Paratransit units engaged in non-medical transport are eligible but must not represent more than 60% of total call volume.
- Medical Calls
  - Emergency Medical Ambulance Calls (was dispatched as an emergency)
  - Non-Emergency Medical Ambulance Calls (was not dispatched as an emergency)
- Paratransit / Non-Medical Calls
  - Wheelchair Calls (wheelchair transportation)
  - Other Transportation Services (buses, fly cars or unmodified vans)
  - Services Other than Transport Calls (social services; community paramedicine)
Start-up programs are ineligible; a minimum of four years, preferably five years operational experience (same ownership.)
Minimum of four years, preferably five years exposure information (vehicle count and call volume.)
Currently valued, credible, hard copy carrier loss information - minimum 4 years (plus current).
Favorable review of Glatfelter Commercial Ambulance application.
Favorable engineering survey within 45 days of binding.
Favorable review of most recent prepared financial statement. (audited, review or compilation preferred)
Liability deductibles will be considered with sufficient collateral.
Minimum premium of $25,000 for account.
Driver eligibility guidelines must be found acceptable by Risk Control.
Aircraft liability and aircraft hull coverage ineligible.
Risk must be domiciled in Texas (Multi-state risks subject to underwriting consideration).
Risks that operate primarily in Starr, Hidalgo, Willacy or Cameron Counties are ineligible.
